Fenofibrate

Fenofibrate is a prescription fibrate medication used with diet to lower high triglycerides and cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" HDL, reducing pancreatitis risk, and sometimes managing diabetic retinopathy by activating PPAR-alpha to speed lipid removal from the body. Common side effects include digestive issues, headache, and muscle pain, with risks of muscle damage (rhabdomyolysis) especially with statins, and it's contraindicated with liver disease, gallbladder issues, or kidney impairment
